This brake is an outstanding value for the money. I bought a front one for a fixie project, expecting the quality to be on par with the price... not at all! These brakes work just as well as my campy's that cost an order of magnitude more. The Br-R450 has enough reach so you can run standard 700C road wheels on older road bike frames made for 27" wheels, as well. If anyone is building a fixie project from an older high-end road frame, these should do the job...
P.S. To you lunatics out there on your fixies without any brakes: You aren't impressing anyone, and you are the #2 bike related accident we see in the ER in this town. Seriously, let me repeat - no one is impressed! None of you can stop! For the sake of the reputation of all other riders, please put a brake on your bike.

Replaced old broken Diacomp brakes on my clunky old Centurion road bike.
Didn't want to spend any more than necessary on that old junker.
Lo and behold! These brakes are actually able to bring that old heap to a stop!
